2026 Patti Wilder/Cobb Championship Meet Details
The Patti Wilder Meet is the annual Cobb County Summer Swim championship meet where summer league swimmers from all over Cobb county race together. We highly encourage ALL swimmers from our team to enter this meet! JT swimmers who register will be put in heats with swimmers with similar times...so no one should be intimidated!! Our coaches emphasize fun, team spirit, good attitudes, and personal best times over winning a race. It is a great way to see what year-round swim meets are like, too!
JT swimmers that have attended in the past have had a lot of fun and do so well!
The only qualification is that the swimmer must be able to swim 1 lap freestyle (25 yards) in under 70 seconds independently (no hanging on the lane rope, no adult assistance with getting in the water at the start). Otherwise there are no qualifying times for this meet.

Warm up: 7:30-8:55am ; Prelims for all 13-18yo Individual Events and Timed Finals for all Relays: 9:15am; Finals for all 13-18yo Individual Events: begins 3 hours after prelims end, warm up starts 2 hours after prelims end
Sat June 27, 2026 9-12 year-old swimmers
Warm up: 7:30-8:55am; Prelims for all 9-12yo Individual Events and Timed Finals for all Relays: 9:15am; Finals for all 9-12yo Individual Events: begins 3 hours after prelims end, warm up starts 2 hours after prelims end
Sun June 28, 2026 5-8 year-old swimmers
Warm up: 7:30-8:55am; Timed Finals for all 5-8yo Individual Events and Relays: 9:15am
* 5-8 year old swimmers only swim once (timed finals in the morning session)
* 9-18 year old swimmers who finish in the top 20 of their individual event during prelims qualify for finals in the afternoon session. Meet Fees The Cobb County Parks and Rec fee for individual events is $7/per event (max 3) and relay events (4 swimmers each) are $15 ($3.75/swimmer). We will pay Cobb County Parks and Rec as a team. We will let you know what you owe after our entries are submitted. You may pay cash or check made out to Jefferson Township Owners Association. GRPA State Swim Meet
If you are interested in the possibility of participating in the GRPA meet, you MUST bring a COPY of your swimmer's birth certificate to the Patti Wilder meet (you can leave it in the car). Do not bring your original birth certificate and ask to make a copy. You will also need a blank check for the state fee (approx $30).
Both the COPY of the birth certificate and payment (cash or check only) is due to reserve your swimmer's spot. This is VERY important to have to give your swimmer the best chance of participating on the Cobb County State Team.
Cobb County State Team practices will be held at Cobb Aquatic Center during weekday mornings in July (they are optional but highly encouraged) - details about these practices will be given to those who qualify.
